Cultural Preparation Seminar

The better the preparation of the expats, the more successful will the actual stay abroad be. The Training unite "Fit for abroad" introduces your employees to the most important peculiarities of their host country. The participants learn through role play and short theoretical input the central standards of the relevant culture.

Depending on your preferences we host this training as a training tandem: a senior trainer from Germany and a Co-Trainer from the relevant culture.

You can choose the location of the training yourself: Either abroad in the relevant culture or in Germany. It?s up to you.

Goal: Introduce the central information that is necessary for the success in the relevant country. Improve the security of the participants and that way also improving their self confidence.

Central content:

  • project management in the relevant culture
  • cultural and communicative stiles in the relevant culture
  • leadership, employee motivation, workplace and spear time behavior


Agenda

Our classic training for Expats as part of the preparation when going abroad:

Day 1:

  • Collecting critical incidents experienced in interactions with members of the relevant culture. Explaining the critical interactions.
  • central issues of the Intercultural Business Communication (e.g. intercultural compentence/communication)
  • coping strategies in intercultural stress situations
  • Culture-learning as a coping strategy
  • direct and indirect Meta communication
  • workgroups with case studies concerning the business in the actual relevant culture

Day 2:

  • presentation of the results of the case study with discussion
  • from what to why: explaining Culture-Learning using the example of a selected culture (if wanted with a Co-Trainer from the relevant culture)
  • reinforcement of the contents thru role plays representing the every day work life
  • presenting intercultural appropriately
  • conflict management in different cultures
  • negotiation training
  • transfer and feedback session

You can choose from the following cultures:
